Josh and Kelly Taylor are passionate about loving and equipping our families with children. They are not simply Children's Pastor because it is absolutely critical that families be equipped to disciple each other during the week. We may only get to connect with the kids on Sunday morning, but you all are together all week.
We are here to serve you in any way that we can. For some reason, society thinks that pastors are some how more important or more called to live on mission. This couldn't be further from the truth. We are all called to give our entire heart, soul, mind and strength to God. In fact if anybody is more important, it is you. You are on the front lines. Pastors are really called to be equippers. It's our job to be "water boys" to you out in the field. Please communicate about the needs that you have and we'll bend over backwards to equip you to do what God has put you here to do.
Josh and Kelly were married in 2000 and have two beautiful girls, Morgan (born 6/28/02) and Cameron (born 4/21/05).

Pastor to Families with Children

Our prayer is that every family would be:
- Praying together regularly.
- Couples praying together regularly. Remember praying means listening to God's Spirit, as well.
- Reading God's Word together (Recommend My First Message and/or Jesus Storybook Bible).
- In a Sent Group together that is Learning and Living the ways of Jesus with and in front of your children.
- Serving together - 1 Local and 1 Global with and in front of your children.
- Constantly considering ways to live on less to give away more of your time and finances and have more time to disciple your kids.
- Intentional about loving the LOST and LEAST OF THESE - Each family would write down goals and strategies for how they will engage the Lost and the Least of These with the gospel.

CompassKids Key Concepts for Life
The CompassKids ministry is about equipping families for abundant life. As parents, we get to take part in the creation of life - so precious and beautiful. There is no greater evidence of God and His goodness than the conception and birth of a child.
Life - abundant and full - is what we were made for and life doesn't happen apart from being connected to the life source. God is the creator and sustainer of life. Just like a lamp must be plugged into the right source, if we are not plugged into the source of life, we don’t have life. We simply malfunction. Life doesn't work.
It is not the church’s job to raise your children. Why do we say that? Some parents feel that a lesson on Sunday morning is enough spiritual emphasis in their life. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Your kids will tend to value what you value. There are 168 hours in a week. If these concepts are only emphasized 1 hour/week, does it really show them that they are important? In fact, I would say that there is nothing more important than understanding these simple concepts - for kids and adults.
That being said, we will do everything we can to walk alongside you as you raise your children. We are passionate about doing life together. You are not alone. In fact, God made us for relationship with Him and others, so if you are not connected to other people, your life and family will not work right. Ultimately, though, you have to take responsibility for introducing your kids to God, who is the source of life.
